Game 2

Buffalo pulled away in the second half to defeat VMI 78–70, riding a 47-point surge after halftime to stay unbeaten in Fort Myers. The Bulls shot 55 percent in the second half and finished 28-for-37 at the free-throw line, repeatedly capitalizing on VMI fouls to create separation after trailing for more than 15 minutes of game time.

VMI hung with Buffalo behind balanced scoring and 33 first-half points, but the Keydets were held to 37 percent shooting for the game. Tan Yildizoglu scored 16 points and Mario Tatum added 15, while Cal Liston and Linus Holmstrom combined for 21.

Buffalo’s 17 points off turnovers and a +9 margin at the free-throw line proved decisive down the stretch, helping the Bulls overcome VMI’s 18 second-chance points and 24 bench points to clinch the 78–70 win.
