Skechers Named Title Sponsor of Fort Myers Tip-Off

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 10, 2025) – Intersport announced today that Skechers, The Comfort Technology Company® and a global leader in lifestyle and performance footwear, has signed on as title sponsor of the 2025 Fort Myers Tip-Off, a premier early season college basketball showcase held annually over Thanksgiving week.

The newly named Skechers Fort Myers Tip-Off will once again take place at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Fla., and feature elite NCAA men’s basketball programs in a nationally televised showcase. Now in its eighth year, the event is set for Nov. 24-27 and will feature eight games over four days, headlined by a Thanksgiving Day showcase between Michigan State and North Carolina. Teams will compete in one of two divisions – the Beach Division or the Palms Division. In addition to Michigan State and North Carolina, St. Bonaventure and East Carolina will take part in Beach Division contests set for Nov. 25 and 27. The complete Palms Division field, with games taking place Nov. 24 and Nov. 26, will be announced this summer.

The Skechers Fort Myers Tip-Off, launched in 2018, has become a staple of the early season college basketball calendar, regularly bringing championship-caliber programs to Southwest Florida on an annual basis. Gonzaga, Kansas, Auburn, 2025 national champion Florida, Ohio State, Marquette, Wisconsin, Virginia and Michigan, among others, have recently participated in the event.
