February 8, 2024

Travel packages for Michigan and Virginia Tech fans looking to join the Hokies at the 2024 Fort Myers Tip-Off are on sale now. The 2024 Tournament, which will also feature Xavier and South Carolina, is set for Monday and Wednesday, Nov. 25 and 27, at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College.

Official fan travel packages include tickets to each Beach Division game, hotel accommodations and parking at Suncoast Credit Union Arena. For complete travel package information, log on to www.fortmyerstipoff.com/travel. At this time, the only way to guarantee tickets to the Fort Myers Tip-Off, which sold out last year, is through official fan travel packages, which offer a variety of hotel night options. Ticket packages will go on sale this fall.

Game times and matchups for the Fort Myers Tip-Off will be announced later this summer. South Carolina travel packages will be available on Feb. 13 and Xavier travel packages will go on sale Feb. 15.

Since 2017, the teams have combined for nine Sweet 16 appearances, three Elite Eights, two Final Fours and one national championship game appearance. South Carolina won a school-record 26 games en route to its first Final Four appearance in program history in 2017 and is off to its best start in school history this season at 20-3. Michigan advanced to the national championship game in 2018, earned an Elite Eight bid in 2021 and made three Sweet 16 appearances (2017, 2019, 2022). Virginia Tech has made five NCAA Tournament appearances since 2017, including a regional semifinal run in 2019 when the team won a school-record 26 games. And after missing the last three NCAA Tournaments, Xavier made a Sweet 16 run in 2023 under first-year coach Sean Miller, who is in his second stint with the program after spending five seasons with the team from 2004-09. The Musketeers also posted an Elite Eight finish in 2017.

Approaching its seventh season, the Fort Myers Tip-Off has become one of the top early season events in the country and a fixture on the Southwest Florida sports calendar. In its first six years, the Tournament has hosted perennial championship contenders and some of college basketball’s biggest brands, including Kansas, Gonzaga, Ohio State, Marquette, Florida, Wisconsin, Virginia and West Virginia, among others.

The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village will serve as the host hotel for the four Beach Division teams of the Fort Myers Tip-Off, and fans will have the opportunity to stay where the teams stay and experience resort life to the fullest. Additionally, the Luminary Hotel & Co., a boutique hotel located in downtown Fort Myers, and the Marriott Sanibel Harbor Resort and Spa, a resort destination near historic Sanibel Island, are available lodging options for fans to choose the ideal vacation experience.
