FORT MYERS, Fla. (Nov. 28, 2025) – FOX Sports announced today that the Skechers Fort Myers Tip-Off Thanksgiving Day matchup between No. 11 Michigan State and No. 16 North Carolina drew 5.49 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen fast national panel only data, making it the most-watched college basketball game ever on the network.

The game, which was won by Michigan State, 74-58, peaked at 13.41 million viewers and represents a six percent increase over FOX’s most recent Thanksgiving Day men’s college basketball game in 2023, which featured the Spartans and Arizona.

The Spartans moved to 7-0 on the season after securing two wins in Fort Myers, defeating East Carolina on Tuesday. The loss was the Tar Heels’ first this season, having earlier in the event defeated St. Bonaventure.
